Invisalign Braces

There is a new alternative that is taking the orthodontics world by storm; Invisalign. Although both traditional braces and Invisalign can straighten teeth, the Invisalign are a more comfortable, removable, and almost invisible alternative to traditional braces.

Traditional Braces

These are metal brackets that are glued to the teeth. Once in place, they are tied together with tiny rubber bands. Only lately do they come in enamel colors to more closely match your teeth. Although this will make them slightly more discreet, they still stand out. This means that if you are brave enough, you can actually make quite a fashion statement with all the different band colors if creative enough.

Advantages of Invisalign

For a more discrete look, Invisalign are designed to be hidden. The aligner trays are made from BPA-free (bisphenol A: Exposure can have certain dreadful health effects on everything from brain to the prostate) plastics that are clear. They are worn over the teeth and gently move them into alignment over time.

• Removable – This means that you can clean them easier.
• No issues with food getting caught – nothing can be more embarrassing than having food stuck in your teeth.
• No difficulty eating – Eat whatever you like. It makes no difference with Invisalign.
• No wires to cause irritation – Wires within traditional braces loose or damaged wires can cause terrible irritation
